Scott is the Founder and CEO for The Granite Group, LLC; an organization specializing in collaboration & coalition building, strategy & planning, and team optimization. Working primarily with non-profit clients, The Granite Group works to bring perspectives together to create collaborative solutions that will stand the test of time.
Scott served as President & CEO of the United Way of Southern Nevada with a focus on innovation and collective impact, Scott collaborates with supporters and actively engages the community to create measurable impact. He shares his knowledge and experience as an instructor with UNLV Department of Continuing Education to build stronger non-profits. Scott served 31 years with the American Red Cross in Missouri and Nevada, the first 12 as a volunteer. He continues his volunteerism today. His roles have included leading and modernizing the Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross. He has a rich history of collaborating and building coalitions to improve services to the community; most notably earning a partnership award from the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (NVOAD). Scott is the recipient of several awards including the Non-Profit Administrator of the Year from the American Society of Public Administrators, Golden Hand Service Award from the Cultural Diversity Foundation, Clara Barton Honor Award for Meritorious Volunteer Leadership (the highest volunteer leadership award in the American Red Cross) and Spirit of Excellence for Direct Service Beyond the Chapter. He is a graduate of the Non-Profit Management Certificate program; a partnership between the United Way of Southern Nevada and University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
